the disaster

The disaster
Yawn as the smith family woke up they remembered that it’s their first day at their new holiday home on Stewart island.  They stumbled out of their cozy beds and walked into the kitchen and had pancakes for breakfast. After they ate breakfast they went into their room and got changed into their togs and went outside on the beach with their german shepherd Max.  They went to go surfing “this is awesome” shouted Liam. Max slowly put his paw in the freezing cold water and decided to go for a dive. “Come on” shouted mum “lets go get dressed and play some hockey”explained dad “ok” said olivia and liam. They skipped to their holiday home and got dressed they grabbed their hockey sticks

Carefully and ran out the door along with Max.  The smith family had been playing hockey for about an hour or two until CRACK! A lightning  bolt appeared from the sky. “Let's go back”chanted dad “ok” the others agreed. So of they sprinted to their holiday home to stay until the storm disappears.  “What can we do” questioned liam “we can play some board games” said mum and dad in unison. Olivia and Liam went and got monopoly and started playing. After a few minutes of playing monopoly it started to shake pieces flying everywhere.  “The storms getting worse” cried liam. As soon as he said that they heard a huge splash. They looked out the window and the water of the beach had risen. The sky had turned dull, breezy, stormy and dark grey. There were glaciers all scattered on the ground and the stoney golden sand had vanished.  Crack there house had broken off into the middle of the navy blue sea. They sat down and thought of what to do a few minutes later they knew what to do they went to their room got their colourful hockey sticks and went to the front door. As glaciers passed their house they hopped on them one by one and they used their hockey sticks to paddle them back to shore.  “What do we do now” explained Mum “our house is still stranded” sighed Liam. Luckily dads friend is a sailor and he said sure so he put the boat on the trailer and drove to the area. He heaved the giant boat thats as big as a blue whale into the moana with dads help and pushed the houe back to shore . Then they went to bed and the next day the storm was gone.
