Help! my name is sally and i have been stranded on this remote island for over 30 years i am now 42 so i hope you will find me.  Now let me tell you my story it all started when i went skydiving out of a plane.  A few seconds later i went to pull my parachute it was NOT there.  OH NO I fell into the ocean and swam all the way to shore and here I am.  So please come and find me I am in the middle of the pacific ocean there is a chimpanzee in the tallest tree of my island.  I would like to be remembered as the only lady who survived thirty years on the remote island

2016 Guy fawkes🎆On guy fawkes my family and I did not go the the Marine parade as planned instead we watched a movie and we ate popcorn as well.When we got home my brother and I slept on the couch so we could watch the fireworks out the window.  We did have fireworks but we wanted to save them till christmas time. I could hear the neighbours dogs barking.  I love looking at the burst of colours in the sky flashing every 3 second. I can’t wait till next year. The end!

Soccer Skills

Soccer Skills

In the last few weeks, Room 19 has been doing skills with AJ.  

I think I am good at dribbling and headers because it is fun; and because I like to do headers and dribbling. But the headers really really hurt!!!

My best skill is dribbling around because it is easy to do. Playing soccer is hard.

I need to get better at kicking in and out of the cones because the ball keeps on rolling away from me.  Also if I hit the cone, I have to do five step ups.

I enjoyed doing sport with Aj.

Dribbling	😀	I think I am good at dribbling because it is easy and fun to do.	Working cooperatively with a partner	😀
Kicking accurately to a target or person	😩	I am not good at that because I don’t have a good aim.	Following Instructions	😀	I follow the instructions very well and practise at home
Heading the ball	😀	I think I am good at heading because it is easy. But it hurts.	Working well as a team	😀	I am a very good soccer player so I am letting our team win all the time
Weaving in and out of cones	😩	I am not good at it because it keeps rolling away from me.	Playing a game	😧	I am not that good at playing games but I try to kick the ball as many times as possible

Cross Country

Yesterday it was cross country we did it at Frimley Park.

We had to go into our house colours -  Lyndhurst Nottingley Pakowhai and Ikanui.

I enjoyed cheering lyndhurst on and making them faster.

I did not enjoy the place that I came because last year I  was in the the top 10  so I could of been better.

I learnt not to stop and if you are tired just jog or ignore the pain.

I practised a lot to be able to be in 16 place and had a lot of stitches while I was running.

I want to improve doing my running faster.

persuasive writing

Did you know that Russia is taking drugs so that they can be better and win a medal?

I think that they should not be taking them because it means there cheating.

Firstly I don’t want Russia to take the drugs because that is bad to make yourself better when no one else is.  

Secondly it is CHEATING so it is wrong for them to be doing that.  Lastly I think that they will be better and win a gold medal when they shouldnt’ at all.   It was that bad that there not allowed to come back.  If there allowed to come to the olympics again I hope they won’t do it again.

In conclusion we should not cheat.

Dear Mr White,

In room 19 we have been making a chart about where the worst places in the school is for rubbish. We have split up into groups and found out where the worst places for rubbish are...field, outside room 1 to 3, Adventure playground and outside room 8 and 9.  Rm19 have thought of some ideas such as putting some wheelie bins on the field. But we thought it would be too much hard work. I think we should just empty the bins more for example at morning tea time.

trading cards

There are 6 trading cards to get, if you get all the 6 trading cards and they aren't the same you get the golden trading card. The first thing your teacher looks for to give you a trading is Action. Action includes being kind to one another, doing what you're told and sitting up on the mat all the time and being a self directed learner. The next thing your teacher looks for is achievement.Achievement includes going up on the ladder and learning your goals.The last thing your teacher looks for is attitude it means to be good all the time and ignore the people around you that is being annoying. I am almost there to getting my golden card.

Swimming

Heretaunga Raorao Haumako are going swimming.  We are the first class to go on the bus to Flaxmere Waterworld. When we got there on the first day I was a bit nervous going in the big pool but when I got in I felt ok.  I am in lane 1. In my group there are GEORGIA, FLETCHER, ESSENCE, GLORIA, ABBEY, CARMAN, MARCUS, GUY, and VASHI. On the first lesson we had to do swimming to the middle of the pool and backstroke back. After that we did dolphin dives and then got out to change.Then we went to the bus and went back to school. The next day we had a different teacher and did swimming with flutter boards. We played games. Today we did dolphin dives to the end.
